Consistent with the earlier reports21,22, tumors derived from p53−/− mice were mostly lymphomas (thymus and lymph node) (Fig. 2d, Supplementary Table S2), followed by malignant teratomas (testis and abdomen) (Supplementary Fig. S2d) and sarcomas (subcutis) (Supplementary Fig. S2e), and some of them were accompanied with enlarged spleen (Fig. 2b, Supplementary Table S2). This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and sarcoma.
