Since both Kasumi-1 and SKNO-1 express KITN822K, it was interesting to note that KIT shRNAs were depleted in both of the RNAi screens (Figure 8A), emphasizing the significance of KIT mutants in t(8;21) AML propagation (Becker et al., 2008, Faber et al., 2016, Larizza et al., 2005). Here, KIT is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
