Increased risk of gastric carcinoma mortality was closely associated with high expression of SNHG8 (HR= 1.10, 95% CI: 1.03–1.19; P=0.009), distant metastasis (HR= 2.99, 95% CI: 1.19–7.50; P=0.020), tumor size more than 5.0 cm (HR= 3.36, 95% CI: 1.48–8.96; P=0.005), and EBV-positive (HR= 3.40, 95% CI: 1.57–7.37; P=0 .002).
