However, in a study investigating experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), an MS model in which pathology is driven mainly by CD4+ T cells (reviewed in Sonar and Lal, 2017), an increased P2RY12 expression was found during the remission phase (Beaino et al., 2017), which indicates that the regulation of P2RY12 may be more complex. Here, CD4 is linked to experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis.
