NEK2 and nasopharyngeal carcinoma: Previously, we identified that BCAT1 located at +12p11‐p12 contributes to the early pathogenesis in NPC.14 Interestingly, in this study, we found that NEK2 is not only located at +1q32‐q33 but also had a great significance in the stage III‐IV and paired sequential recurrent patients with NPC indicating that NEK2 overexpression, as a late event, might be involved in the progression and recurrence of NPC.
