ADAR and cancer: Interestingly, censored basal-like cancer patients with higher ADAR1 expression pattern have a significant increase in the number of editing counts in their 571 selected UTRs, whereas patients with lower ADAR1 expression showed lower edited sites (3683 ± 79.74 versus 2928 ± 103.3 edited sites, mean ± SEM, t test p < 0.0001, Fig. 4b).
