Functional enrichment analysis revealed its enrollment in cancer-related KEGG pathways, as Pathways in cancer (hsa05200, 115 targets, p = 0.001723304), proteoglycans in cancer (hsa05205, 71 targets, p = 1.687731e-06), adherens junction (hsa04520, 34 targets, p = 3.396929e-06), cell cycle (hsa04110, 54 targets, p = 3.355808e-05), and p53 signaling pathway (hsa04115, 31 targets, p = 0.006060223) as well as cancer-specific pathways, namely glioma (hsa05214, 29 targets, p = 0.0003111577) and renal cell carcinoma (hsa05211, 28 targets, p = 0.02521455) (S5 Table). This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and cancer.
