HMGA2 and breast carcinoma: This newly discovered function of HMGA2 in promoting protein PARylation was confirmed in MDA‐MB‐231 overexpressing HMGA2 which showed a significant increase in PARylated proteins when compared to mock controls (Fig. 1D,E) and in MDA‐MB‐436 breast cancer cells following siRNA‐mediated silencing of HMGA2 (Fig. 1F,G).
