Briefly, 26 articles did not include quantitative measurements of CRP levels, 12 focused on types of influenza other than H1N1, 3 examined children, 2 evaluated CRP in study populations with significant comorbidities that could bias the CRP levels and 3 reports with CRP levels that were significantly far above the clinically and physiologically recognized range (outliers). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and influenza.
