MS2-tagged Pkp4 3′UTR constructs were used to demonstrate the preferential recruitment of RNAs found in adenomatous polyposis coli-containing ribonucleoprotein (APC-RNP) complexes to granules that contained mutant forms of the protein FUS and have been linked to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis [50,51]. The gene discussed is APC; the disease is amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
