In the current study, we showed that gene silencing of PTBP1, hnRNPA1, and SRSF3, which for coding proteins is known as the splicing factor, induced a partial PKM switching from PKM2 dominant to PKM1 dominant, followed by a metabolic shift from glycolysis to OXPHOS in the TCA cycle in the cancer cells tested.
