VEGFA and cancer: Wu and co-workers [51] conferred that aptamers amplified in line with Forster resonance energy transfer (FRET) and chemilluminescence resonance energy transfer (CRET) show high signal output and sensitivity which are properties that makes them important for applications intended to detect cancer biomarkers such as vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), tenascin-C, nuclear factor kappa-light-chain enhancer (NFκB) of activated B cells and prostate specific membrane antigen (PMSA).
