So, considering that obesity, inflammation, and oxidative stress are able to induce renal disease and there are no studies that evaluate the effect of γOz in renal disease, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of γOz in the recovery of renal function in obese animals by high sugar-fat diet by modulation of the adiponectin receptor 2/PPAR-α axis. The gene discussed is ADIPOR2; the disease is obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
