Furthermore, we found that transfection of CLL cells with p300-siRNA downregulated expression levels of Caspase3, c-Myc, p21, VEGF, and STAT3 transcript levels (Figure 4B), confirming that acetylation increases the transcriptional activity of STAT3 in CLL cells. This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
