Older age, MSM or bisexual (vs. heterosexual), time updated CD4/CD8 ratio (< 0.3 and 0.3–0.45 vs. > 0.45), diabetes mellitus (DM), baseline protease inhibitors-based regimen and cART initiation after calendar year 2007 (vs. before 2007) were associated with higher chances of non-AIDS composite end point in univariate analysis. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and AIDS.
