Taken together, our findings suggest that the increased expression of specific proteins in BC cells helps to maintain the structural integrity of cellular proteins (AGR2, TCP1) and cellular architecture (FASN), promote the synthesis and procurement of fatty acids and other substrates required for generation of rapidly dividing cells (ACLY, SLC1A5, FASN, GCN1), enhance tumor cell proliferation (AGR2, ACLY, EEF2, EEF1A1, EEF1A2) and invasion (SUSD2), influence tumor cell migration (BASP, TNC), and maintain intracellular homeostasis (PSMA5, ECPAS). Here, ACLY is linked to breast cancer.
