Lakritz et al. [112] reported that Lactobacillus reuteri ATCC-PTA-6475 inhibited mammary carcinogenesis in wild-type and FVB strain erbB2 (HER2) (genetically susceptible to mammary tumors mimicking breast cancer in human) mutant mice by triggering CD4+ and CD25+ lymphocytes. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and breast cancer.
