ESR1 and breast carcinoma: Table 4 shows the enriched GO terms and the hub genes for this module. This module is enriched in the GO term related to the response to estrogen. One of its hub genes, NYP1R, has been reported to be involved in the activation of estrogen signaling pathway in breast carcinoma. It is up-regulated in ER+ tumor compared to ER- tumor [62][63]. This agrees well with the classification of ER+ subtype, which is characterized by the presence of estrogen receptors. The other two hub genes, LTF and CEACAM6, are also hubs genes in the tumor-shared modules.
