In the present manuscript, we showed that expression of MUC16 and MUC20 are positively correlated with MUC4 and that the MUC4/MUC16/MUC20high combinatory expression is associated with an increased hazard ratio and reduced overall survival suggesting a potential for this signature as a prognostic marker for several carcinomas and notably pancreatic, stomach and colon cancer. This evidence concerns the gene MUC20 and colonic neoplasm.
