To ascertain the integrin adhesion structure connected to actin (as a typical cytoskeletal protein), we observed the F-actin structure in the mammalian cancer cells after labeling with anti-F-actin antibody and 60-nm gold colloids conjugated to a secondary antibody, fixing with 4% paraformaldehyde, and permeabilizing with 0.1% Triton-X (Fig 5A–5C). The gene discussed is DNM2; the disease is cancer.
