While we recently showed that Hmga2 is a marker of a transient metastatic subpopulation in PDAC in vivo13, our current study shows that neither deletion of Hmga2 in autochthonous mouse models of PDAC, nor knockdown of Hmga2 in an aggressive pancreatic cancer cell line impacted pancreatic tumour initiation, progression, or metastatic ability. Here, HMGA2 is linked to pancreatic neoplasm.
