Within the last 5 years, nine novel genes associated with monogenic forms of ALS have been identified: KIF5A, CCNF, NEK1, TBK1, MATR3, TUBA4A, CHCHD10, HNRNPA1, and HNRNPA2B1 [10, 13, 43]. This evidence concerns the gene CCNF and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
