In the whole study population, the univariate and multivariate analyses adjusted for pTNM stage (p = 0.004; HR, 5.3; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.7–16) demonstrated that the PD-L1 expression ≥1% tumor cells (p = 0.008; HR, 2.6; 95% CI, 1.2–5.4) and a CD4+/CD8+ ratio higher than the median (p = 0.007; HR, 2.7; 95% CI, 1.3–5.8) significantly correlated with poor OS duration (Figure 3), while a CD8+ density higher than the median indicated a non-significant trend to improved OS (p =0.08; HR, 0.55; 95% CI, 0.27–1.1) (Table S2). This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and neoplasm.
