Using blot arrays that detect the phosphorylation of 42 different receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs), we found that WJ460 blocked serum-induced activation of several kinases, such as fibroblast growth factor receptor 1, vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2), and Tie2, suggesting that WJ460 may block metastasis through inhibiting RTK signaling in breast cancer cells (Supplementary Fig. 4a). The gene discussed is KDR; the disease is breast carcinoma.
