CD55 and neoplasm: In a similar study with gastric cancer cells it was noted that expression of CD97, a GPCR and member of the EGF-seven transmembrane subfamily that binds chondroitin sulfate, α5β1 and the GPI anchored CD55, becomes strikingly upregulated in Exo, which promoted lymphatic spread of tumor cells accompanied by upregulation of CD55, CD44v6, α5β1, EpCAM, and CD151.
