CD274 and melanoma: In addition, ~45% and 31% of patients with mucosal and nonmucosal melanoma had ≥2 prior therapies and 30% and 23%, respectively, were PD-L1 negative, characteristics associated with lower efficacy in patients with advanced melanoma.9 However, comparison of outcomes between mucosal and nonmucosal melanoma should be interpreted with caution given the post-hoc nature of this analysis, differences in baseline characteristics, and the small number of patients with mucosal melanoma.
