Indeed, of the 87 mutations that were shared by at least two lesions from the same patient in the present study, only 4 are included in COSMIC’s Cancer Gene Census (https://cancer.sanger.ac.uk/census): EGF, IDH2, PTPRB, and TP53. Of these, only TP53 mutations have been implicated in sarcoma development before. Here, TP53 is linked to cancer.
