This analysis identified a subset of genes, including Ampka1 (also known as Prkaa1, a catalytic subunit of AMPK that plays a critical role in AMPK activation) and Cs, that have 3′ untranslated region (UTR) containing multiple target sites for Ago2-dependent miRNAs including miR-148a/152 known to evoke hyperlipidemia, hypercholesteremia, and atherosclerosis14,15 (Supplementary Fig. 6e and f). This evidence concerns the gene AGO2 and hyperlipidemia.
