In this context, a recent study [70] identified a 4-core of neurodevelopmental TFs (transcription factors) (i.e., OLIG2, POU3F2, SALL2, SOX2), which are selectively expressed in glioblastoma stem-like cells and have been shown to be sufficient to fully reprogram differentiated cells into glioblastoma stem-like cells. The gene discussed is POU3F2; the disease is glioblastoma.
