We utilized normal/tumor matched AA, CA of varying grades, and included prostate patient tissue from the Bahamas (BAH) to stain for Snail and Cat L. We observed that Snail and Cat L localization was nuclear/cytoplasmic in early stages of prostate cancer (Stage 2) in AA samples compared to CA where these proteins were predominantly cytoplasmic and nuclear localization was observed in Stage 3 (Fig 5A). Here, CTSL is linked to Familial prostate cancer.
