BRCA2 and breast cancer: It showed that 12.9% of selected high-risk patients with BC had BRCA deleterious mutations, similar to frequencies reported from Lebanon23 but higher than frequencies reported from Qatar.24 In our study, BRCA1 mutations were more common (82.5% of mutations) than BRCA2 mutations, which is similar to the pattern in the Western population, although different from that among Asian populations, in which BRCA2 mutations are more common.2
