ALB and preeclampsia: One of the important conditions in pregnant women is hypertensive disorder with serious maternal and fetal complications.1 Among hypertensive disorders, preeclampsia is one of the most important life threatening one for both mothers and neonates worldwide, with 10–15% of the 500,000 maternal deaths each year.2,3 Routine investigation of women with preeclampsia includes determination of liver function test (LFT) including aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), bilirubin, and albumin levels.
