Polymorphisms in the IL-10 gene have been associated with some immune-related diseases [54] such as asthma [65, 66], systemic lupus erythematosus [67–69], Crohn's disease [70, 71], rheumatoid arthritis [22, 72–74], tuberculosis [19, 75], type 2 diabetes [76], and several types of cancer [77–80]. This evidence concerns the gene IL10 and Crohn disease.
