The polymorphisms -1082 A>G, -592C>A, and 819C>T in the IL-10 gene seem to modulate the IL-10 levels in different disorders, such as cancer [21], tuberculosis [19], systemic lupus erythematosus [20], and rheumatoid arthritis [22], but the results are controversial.
