In order to evaluate other metabolic parameters that could be affected by aging and particularly by atherosclerosis, we measured glycemia and observed that the values were similar in young and aged WT (76 ± 4 vs. 90 ± 5 mg/dL, respectively) and apoE−/− (96 ± 15 vs. 105 ± 10 mg/dL, respectively) mice. Here, APOE is linked to atherosclerosis.
