Fan et al. [9] isolated an acidic polysaccharide (GLSP) with carbohydrate content of 72.06% and sulfate content of 6.13% from G. lemaneiformis; the GLSP significantly inhibited the growth of tumor, promoted splenocyte proliferation and macrophage phagocytosis, and increased the levels of IL-2 and CD8+ T cells in blood of tumor-bearing mice. This evidence concerns the gene IL2 and neoplasm.
