The results of the present study were supported by previous studies reporting that the imbalance between CK2 subunit levels caused by the reduction of β regulatory subunit is linked to increase in molecular target levels related to EMT in tissue samples from breast cancer patients, and that CK2β‐depleted epithelial cells exhibited EMT‐like morphological changes, as well as enhanced migration and anchorage‐independent growth (Deshiere et al., 2011, 2013). Here, CSNK2B is linked to breast carcinoma.
