AIM2 and renal carcinoma: The activation of inflammasome has been reported to inhibit cancer cell invasion and metastasis, angiogenesis or tumorigenesis in model systems, suggesting that the defective of inflammasome in tumour cells is a tumour suppression mechanism.34 Our data demonstrated that H1/pAIM2 expression significantly enhanced the expression of inflammasome competent (AIM2/Caspase‐1/IL‐1β) in renal cancer cell lines.
