Soluble HLA-G dosages were not different whether women were under immunosuppressive therapies (cyclophosphamide, methotrexate, etc.)with or without anti-inflammatory medications (non-steroidal or corticosteroids, etc.)or had only drugs to treat consequences of the disease, such as vasodilatator therapies (calcium channel blockers, angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, etc.), antifibrotic agents (colchicine, etc.), or others (i.e., proton pump inhibitors for gastroesophageal reflux) (Figure 2C). The gene discussed is HLA-G; the disease is gastroesophageal reflux disease.
