In the present study, we first confirmed the CDK5 activation in ischemic stroke by detecting CDK5 activity in the hippocampal tissues from rat models with MCAO, analysis of the protein levels in the same tissue showed significantly increased Tyr15 phosphorylated CDK5 levels, indicating a possible involvement of Tyr15 phosphorylation in activating CDK5 in this stroke model. The gene discussed is CDK5; the disease is stroke disorder.
