To evaluate the microabscess formation in the liver of L. monocytogenes-infected wild-type and CFP1-deficient mice, we stained the liver with H&E at 48 h post infection and found that there were more microabscesses in the liver of CFP1-deficient mice than in the liver of wild-type mice (Figure 2D; Figure S3A in the Supplementary Material). This evidence concerns the gene CXXC1 and infection.
