High-risk CRP levels increased odds of depression among white women (aOR = 1.7, 95% CI: 1.1–2.6) and white men (aOR = 1.8, 95% CI: 1.1–2.8), while no statistically significant associations were found among black women (aOR = 0.8, 95% CI: 0.6–1.1) or black men (aOR = 0.9, 95% CI: 0.5–1.5). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is depressive symptom measurement.
