In the older subgroup (Fig. 3a), frequent retraining at home had a significant effect in the risk reduction of the first episode of peritonitis after adjustments for sex, age, DM, centre size, academic year, baseline haemoglobin, albumin and GFR (adjusted HR 0.01 (0.001–0.35), p = 0.01, Fig. 3a). Here, ALB is linked to peritonitis.
