TRAF2 and B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma: These observations are consistent with the previous finding that LMP2A expression reduces signal transduction in a B cell lymphoma cell line (BJAB) transfected with LMP1 and LMP2A [109], but contradict the results of Guasparri et al., who showed that the knockdown of either LMP1 or LMP2A in EBV-infected B cell lymphoma cell lines significantly reduced NF-ĸB activity and increased their susceptibility to apoptosis, an effect that was attributed to the up-regulation of TRAF2 by LMP2A [110].
