RPS3 and infection: In contrast, the Golgi complex had enormously enlarged after infection with the Us3 deletion mutant R7041(ΔUs3), which is in line with the enlargement of the surface area of Golgi membranes as revealed by electron microscopic morphometry (Wildet al., 2012), and reflects the significance of Us3 in downregulation of phospholipid synthesis induced by HSV-1 (Sutteret al., 2012).
