The KEGG pathway analysis of the 51 significantly differentially expressed mRNAs also identified 23 mRNAs that were enriched in ribosome; NDUFA4, NDUFA5, COX7C, NDUFA1, and UQCRB, which were significantly enriched in Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and COX7C, CACNB4 (calcium channel, voltage-dependent, beta 4 subunit), and UQCRB, which were significantly enriched in cardiac muscle contraction (Table 2). This evidence concerns the gene NDUFA1 and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
