Statistically significant relationship was observed between IL-6 -174G>C polymorphism and cervical cancer risk in the two genetic models (OR = 0.61, 95% CI: 0.40–0.94 for GG vs. CC, OR = 0.77, and 95% CI: 0.64–0.93 for G vs. C). This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and cervical carcinoma.
