As indicated in Table 4, after adjustment for confounding factors, low estrogen serum levels (OR = 0.97, 95% CI = 0.96–0.99, p < 0.001), high LH/FSH ratios (OR = 1.98, 95% CI =1.20–3.28, p < 0.01), and a high HOMA factor (OR = 5.04, 95% CI = 2.82–9.01, p < 0.001) were significantly associated with an increased PCOS risk. Here, BRD2 is linked to polycystic ovary syndrome.
