ALOX15B and prostate carcinoma: While 15-LOX-1 is overexpressed and 13-HODE is present at higher concentrations in prostate cancer, 15-LOX-2 and 15-HETE are reportedly decreased in high-grade prostate neoplasia 152, suggesting opposing roles for 15-LOX-1 and 15-LOX-2 in prostate cancer.
