To confirm whether the improved structural changes in the MR images were attributed to the favored neurogenesis by suppression of Notch1 signaling, we used the marker of Dcx and NeuN (a marker of mature neurons) on the ischemic boundary in both vehicle- and DAPT-treated groups at the early and late periods of the chronic stage of stroke respectively. The gene discussed is RBFOX3; the disease is Stroke.
