ALCL is a CD30 positive, aggressive non-Hodgkin T-cell lymphoma with early onset that is characterized in approximately half of all patients (ALCL, ALK+) by fusion of the catalytic domain of ALK with the N-terminus of the gene encoding the Nucleophosmin 1 (NPM1) protein due to a t(2;5) chromosomal translocation [11]. This evidence concerns the gene TNFRSF8 and anaplastic large cell lymphoma.
